Charter Flights to Glastonbury 2017

Glastonbury Festival is legendary, and so is the traffic to get in. We can help you charter a private jet to skip the queues and arrive in style.

Dates: 21st-25th June, 2017 (main stages open 23rd-25th June)

Location: Worthy Farm, Worthy Lane, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 4BY

How to get to Glastonbury

175,000 people will descend on Worthy Farm for Glastonbury 2017. Of course, the town of Shepton Mallet was not built for this kind of traffic. In 2016, festival-goers waited in traffic for upwards of seven hours. Once you finally arrive to the gates, parking is organized randomly and completely based on luck. This means some people need to hike with all their equipment, food and drinks, for an hour to reach their campsite. On Monday morning, once the revelry comes to an end, nine-hour wait times to leave the car park are not unheard of.

Thankfully, you can avoid most of the madness. (If you’re going to Glastonbury, we’re assuming you want a little bit of madness.) We can help you book charter flights to Bristol Airport, a 30-minute flight from London. Once you arrive, we’ll have a chauffeur waiting to drive you the rest of the way. Some traffic should be expected at the drop-off point, but thankfully you’ll be able to avoid the long queue at the car park. To get even closer, arrange a helicopter to take you from Bristol to a helipad just a few miles away from the festival grounds. Be sure to contact us in advance to book, as flying private to Glastonbury is becoming more popular after last year’s fiasco.

What You Need to Know about Glastonbury

The first Glastonbury Festival was held in 1970, the day after Jimi Hendrix died. 1,500 tickets were sold at £1 each, including free milk from the farm included. Now, it is one of the most famous music festivals in the world, featuring some of the biggest acts in music. This year’s headliners are Radiohead, the Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran. Some of the other artists performing are Katy Perry, the XX, the National, Biffy Clyro, Major Lazer, Lorde, Royal Blood and Barry Gibb. Rumors have been circulating that a special surprise set will be announced soon, but there’s no official word yet.

In addition to the acts on stage, festival-goers may see some celebrities in their midst, especially if they’re staying in the more exclusive accommodations. Some of the stars spotted at last year’s festival included Poppy and Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Bradley Cooper, Luke Evans and Alexa Chung.M

Accommodations and Tickets

Most attendees camp in the fields that are included in the price of a ticket. If you’ve seen the photos of the flooded tents, you’ll have an idea of how that can go. The tipis are a slightly more luxurious option, as they include a waterproof groundsheet, inner lining and rain catcher, but guests still need to bring their own bedding and mats.

If sleeping on canvas isn’t for you, Pop Up Hotel is building the most luxurious accommodations at the festival. Options include en-suite glamping tents and Airstream trailers, all with private bathrooms. The Pop Up Hotel facilities will include a pool, a dining room with an all-day menu and a spa with hair, beauty and massage treatments. Prices start at £1,995 per night.

Glastonbury Festival is very strict with ticket resellers. See Tickets is the only agency permitted to sell tickets, and any other reseller cannot be trusted. The entire 135,000 tickets sold out in 50 minutes when sales opened in October. All tickets are completely sold out at this time, and are personalised to show the name of the ticket holder. Security checks are carried out and only the ticket holder will be admitted.
