BACKUS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
Backus Municipal Airport is located one mile northeast of Backus, Cass County, Minnesota. It has one turf runway and was activated in November 1941. It is a public-use airport and offers no extra airport service other than tiedowns.
Backus is a small city of 0.61 square miles located next to Pine Mountain Lake. It was incorporated in 1902 and named for one of the greatest lumbermen in Minnesota history, Edward W. Backus.
