The Beaver Municipal Airport can be found in Beaver County, Utah. Beaver county was named after the abundance of beavers in the area. It is a small town with a population of barely exceeding 6600. The airport was opened in May 1944, and was extended and rehabilitated in 1992. The airport covers an area of 840 acres and has two runways, with the longest being 1519m long. In 2010 the airport had just shy of 2000 aircraft operations.
