BILLY MITCHELL AIRPORT
Billy Mitchell Airport is a public use facility located four miles east of the CBD of Hatteras, Dare County, North Carolina. It is owned by the National Park Service and is situated on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The airport takes its name from General Billy Mitchell, who served in the United States Army Air Service.
The airport covers an approximate area of 100 acres of land and has one designated asphalt paved runway.
