Burns Municipal Airport is a small airport which stands six miles east of the central business district of Burns and is classified as a general aviation facility. It has two runways which both reach around 1 500 miles. Burns itself is the county seat of Harney County, in the U.S. state of Oregon with a small population of under 3000 people at last count. Harney County is the largest in Orgegon but also one of the quietest and least touched by human traffic, with wide open spaces and untouched terrain.
