The facility was formerly known as Brunswick County Airport and is registered for general aviation purposes. It is a slightly smaller facility at 185 acres and has a single runway available but it sees a lot of air traffic none-the-less. In 2010 it reported 77,000 aircraft operations for the year and carries out an impressive 210 flights per day and bases around 82 aircraft.
