Hicks Airfield in Tarrent, Texas is used solely for general aviation purposes. The airfield was opened in 1985, and is located close to Hicks Field, a military training field used in both World War 1 and World War 2. 1945, the airfield was converted to civil ownership, and fell into disuse by 1976. In the early 90's the field was redeveloped along side a few of the WWII hangers that still stood. Today the the field has an average of 84 aircraft operations a day.
