Kingman Airport is a city owned, public use airport located eight nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Kingman, a city in Mohave County, Arizona. The facility was constructed as a World War II United States Army Air Forces training field. Between 1942 and 1945 the U.S. Army Air Forces acquired about 4,145 acres in Mohave County outside of Kingman. At 4,200 acres it is a very large facility with two asphalt runways available and carries out around 120 flights per day.
