Rickenbacker International Airport is a civil-military public use facility located ten miles south of downtown Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. It is also near Lockbourne and the south end of the airport extends into Pickaway County. The airport was named in honor of the flying ace and Columbus native, Eddie Rickenbacker.

The airport opened in June 1942 as Lockbourne Army Airfield and today covers an approximate area of 4,342 acres of land and has two runways.
