Ryan Airfield, also known as Ryan Field, is a city owned, public use airport located 10 nautical miles southwest of the central business district of Tucson, a city in Pima County, Arizona. Despite the possibly misleading title ‘field’ it is a large facility at 1,754 acres and has three runways available, all of which are made from asphalt. In 2009 the facility reported a total of 159,806 aircraft operations for the year and on average carries out an impressive 437 flights per day with around 191 aircraft based there.
