Private Jet Charter to Pennsylvania

DESTINATION GUIDE

PENNSYLVANIA

Pennsylvania is a north-eastern US state located just below the state of New York, boasting 57 cities and home to over 12.78 million people. Its most populous cities are Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie and Reading, while the official state capital is Harrisburg. Air Charter Service can arrange private jet charters to and from airports across Pennsylvania.

Home to breathtaking natural scenery, Pennsylvania has many areas of natural beauty to explore, including the Pocono Mountains, Allegheny Forest and the Laurel Highlands. Navigate the great outdoors by foot and bicycle in the warmer months or book into a ski resort for the winter season. Luxury spa resorts such as The Lodge at Glendorn, situated in the mountains by Allegheny Forest, are the perfect place to pamper and recharge.

If you’re stationed in Philadelphia for business, it’s worth taking an extra day to see the sights. This is the birthplace of the United States Constitution, so be sure to visit Liberty Bell and the National Constitution Museum for a fascinating lesson in American history. The city also boasts excellent fine dining restaurants, shops and cultural highlights including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of the USA’s biggest museums. For old-fashioned charm and a prime city centre location, stay at the five-star Rittenhouse Hotel, positioned at the upmarket Rittenhouse Square. Philadelphia International Airport and Northeast Philadelphia Airport are the two major airports serving the city.

Once an historic industrial town, Pittsburgh is now a city of over 300,000 people. Located at the confluence of three rivers – Ohio, Allegheny and Monongahela – the aptly-nicknamed ‘City of Bridges’ is home to 445 bridges, making it a visually unique metropolis. In addition to being the birthplace of Heinz baked beans, Pittsburgh is famous for its steel, cheese steak sandwiches and as the hometown of the Pittsburgh Steelers American football team. If you’re only here for a day, be sure to ride the Duquesne Incline up to Mount Washington for panoramic city views and visit the stunning Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Pittsburgh International Airport and Pittsburgh Monroeville Airport are the two major airports serving the city.

Attractions in state capital Harrisburg include the National Civil War Museum, City Island and the State Museum of Pennsylvania. Another fun day out is a visit to Hersheypark, a fun-packed family theme park that’s sure to please little and big kids alike. Harrisburg International Airport is located 13 miles from the city centre.
