This boutique resort sits in the Baa Atoll, which is an incredible UNESCO Biosphere Reserve that’s home to marine life including manta rays and whale sharks. The island has just 26 huge thatched-roofed houses dotted around its white-sand beaches and over the glistening waters. All beach and ocean houses have a separate living room, private pool, spacious bathroom and butler service.
The food is a highlight at The Nautilus – dining is wonderfully flexible, so if you have a craving at any time, you can just let the chef know. There are Asian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes as well as classic American favourites, and drinks range from fresh breakfast juices to ice-cold beers and fruity cocktails.
